Comedian and activist Eddie Izzard visited Worcester on Good Friday, joining in the General Election campaign with Labour’s candidate, Joy Squires.
Joy and Eddie walked from Elgar Statue to Angel Place, with scores of shoppers and passers-by stopping for photos and a chat. Eddie was keen to underline the importance of voting Labour and ensuring that Joy is elected on May 7th. He gave a soapbox-speech in front of a hundred people in Angel Place, talking about Labour’s manifesto pledges.
