Wednesday 20 April 2016
7.15pm
St Andrews Methodist Church
Pump Street
Worcester

Why is this meeting being called?

Worcestershire’s hospitals, health and care services do not have enough money to pay for the services we all need.
Services for cataracts, chiropody, physiotherapy and bed closures are all threatened as local doctors try to cope with a £25 million funding cut
Planned review changes soon mean many will have to make long journeys to get to operations and clinics
Mental health services are being cut and wards closed
Care for Worcestershire’s elderly and vulnerable will be so poor it has been described as of “Reliant Robin” standard

What can be done?

Worcester Trades Union Council together with the Worcestershire Health and Care Support Forum say enough is enough. We have organised this meeting so that the public can hear about the extent of the cuts and agree how best we can resist them. Speakers have been invited to address the meeting from:

Worcestershire’s health trades unions
Keep Our NHS Public
Save The Alex Hospital
Stand Up 4 Care
