It is sad that a small group of MPs have chosen to resign the Labour whip.
I have been a member of the Labour Party for 28 years. Labour’s values of social justice, equality, standing up for workers’ rights and ensuring no community is left behind, are unchanged.

The manifesto for the 2017 general election was a costed plan for hope and renewal in Britain. It had wide popular support and robbed Theresa May of her majority in parliament. The Conservative government are creating Brexit chaos, with a future of never ending austerity and privatisation of ou NHS.

I want to be Worcester’s MP because austerity is not inevitable. We can have an economy and a country that works for the many not the few, under a Labour government.
