Squeeze on passengers continues with New Year rail rip off
Your local Labour team were busy talking to commuters at Worcester Shrub Hill and Worcester Foregate Street stations as rail fares rose again in the new year.
Rail fares are up across Britain by 36% since the Tories came to power.
Labour would bring our railways into public ownership, this will mean:
• Capped fares
• Better, more reliable services
• Investment in our railways
Lynn Denham, Worcester’s Labour Prospective Parliamentary Candidate said: “Passengers are fed up with their ticket not even buying them a seat. We need a rail service that is run in the interests of passengers and taxpayers, not for private profit”.
