Worcestershire schools have lost out on almost £80 million in funding since 2015 due to Government’s budget cuts, according to education unions.
But last night, Labour councillor and parliamentary candidate Lynn Denham successfully amended a motion to Worcester City Council. This means that Tory Council Leader Marc Bayliss will be writing to the Secretary of State for Education to request that he reverse these damaging cuts.
“Children in Worcester deserve better. Only Labour will invest in our schools to provide every child with the education they deserve”, said Lynn.
