I am seeking re-election as a Labour Councillor for the Nunnery Ward. I have a strong track record of working hard for local people; helping to tackle everyday problems they experience. What is worrying Nunnery residents most is how to pay their bills, keep a roof over their heads and feed their families. I promise I will continue the fight for lower heating bills, a cap on rents and better local services.
I know that feeling safe and secure in your own home is something we all want. That’s why I take security matters and policing so seriously. Police numbers have been cut and budgets for crime prevention money slashed. This is a false economy. Locally, I want to see action taken to improve CCTV, provide safer streets and make it easier to report crime. With your support on May 5th, I will continue to work with the police and other agencies to deal with vandalism, drug dealing and speeding traffic in the area.
