I have lived in St John’s for the last 21 years and I have been a Labour councillor here since 2010.
I have worked tirelessly for the people of St John’s. I have dealt with everything from selfish parking to speeding, from anti-social behaviour to planning issues, from disputes over gardens to bus routes, from post offices opening hours, to un-mown grass and from housing to unruly trees.
As a councillor I helped save St John’s library, rescued the St John’s Christmas tree and sent local families to Barry. I have spoken out on the closure of Joy Mining and the Co-op supermarket, highlighted the impact of cuts in universal credit and the cost of living crisis, fought to protect the Green Centre and argued for more free tennis in Cripplegate Park.
If re-elected I will continue to work to ensure that St John’s remains the place that we all know and love.
