Adam Scott
As a councillor for Cathedral Ward, I’m focused on supporting the city I’ve always called home. - Adam Scott

Working for Cathedral Ward

Adam is a visible and active councillor who believes in getting stuck in — not just representing residents, but working alongside them.

He regularly:

  • Works with local volunteers and community groups on environmental projects
  • Supports improvements to green spaces and local neighbourhoods
  • Helps resolve everyday issues like litter, maintenance and public spaces
  • Represents residents in planning and licensing matters
  • Listens and responds to concerns raised by people across the ward

His approach is simple: be present, be practical, and work with people to get results.

Achievements and Action

Adam’s work is focused on practical improvements that make a difference in daily life:

  • 🌳 Hands-on environmental work – Joined local groups in tree care, pruning and maintaining green spaces across Worcester
  • 🌿 Supporting community volunteers – Worked alongside organisations like environmental ranger groups and volunteer teams to improve local areas
  • 🗑️ Cleaner streets – Helped secure new bins and supported action to reduce litter in busy locations
  • 🏙️ Planning and regeneration – Uses professional experience to scrutinise developments and represent residents’ interests
  • 🎵 Standing up for residents – Spoke at licensing hearings to ensure a fair balance between city life and residential amenity
  • 🤝 Community-first approach – Regularly meets residents and works collaboratively to solve local issues

Committees and Responsibilities

Adam plays an active role in council decision-making, including:

  • Policy and Resources Committee
  • Licensing and Environmental Health Committee
  • Personnel and General Purposes Sub-Committee
  • Worcestershire Regulatory Services Board

He also supports a number of local organisations and charities through his outside appointments.

Working with the Community

Adam works closely with:

  • Local residents and neighbourhood groups
  • Environmental and volunteer organisations
  • Community charities and local initiatives
  • Council teams delivering services on the ground

He believes the best outcomes come from working together and supporting the people already making a difference locally.

A personal note

I was brought up in Worcester and returned after my career working for local councils in the north. Worcester is a special place — with its history, riverside and vibrant city centre — and I believe in working in partnership with residents and community groups to make a real difference.

I bring experience in planning and regeneration, alongside a practical, hands-on approach to getting things done locally.
